PEACH PAVE SUMMER DESSERT RECIPE

Posted on June 24 2022

This is our family recipe which we are delighted to share with you, and the inspiration behind our delicious smelling Peach Pave soy candle.

PEACH PAVE SOY WAX CANDLE

This fragrance takes us back to picking peaches at our grandmother's house and biting into a sweet and crunchy piece of heaven.

This portuguese peach pave dessert recipe will be a success at your next family or friends gathering, it's light and just with the perfect level of sweetness and silky texture.

PORTUGUESE SUMMER PEACH DESSERT

RECIPE:

Ingredients:

1 Can condensed milk

2 Cups of 35% whipping cream (we use lactose free)

1 Jar or can of peaches dices in small pieces

5 Gelatin sheets

2 Cups of crunched up Maria cookies (Portuguese cookie available at local grocery stores)

 DIRECTIONS:

Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water to soften and let it stand while you prepare the other ingredients.

Crush the Maria cookies - you'll have a mix of crumbs both big and small and it's fine.

Cut up the peaches into small bite size pieces and set aside

Beat whipping cream until firm - if you prefer you can also add 2 tbsp of sugar - we leave it out because of the sweetness of the condensed milk, however it's a personal preference on the level of sweetness you like.

Once it's firm - mix in the condensed milk and until well blended

Next squeeze the excess water from the gelatin sheets and place them in a small microwaveable bowl with 1/2 cup of the peach juice  warm in the microwave for about 30 seconds until it's melted.

While the mixer is going pour into bowl and beat until well combined.

ASSEMBLY:

In a beautiful and colorful bowl - layer the dessert as follows:

1 layer of cookie crumbs

1 layer of cream

1 layer of diced peaches

and repeat process

the last layer should be the creamy mixture.

Decorate with leftover peach bits.

Let it chill for a few hours or overnight.
